Conservation District Directors:

The 2023 Annual State Meeting is less than 45 days away and I hope that you are making plans to attend. I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Fort Worth.

I believe a great meeting has been planned. I am reaching out to you to make sure you are aware of all that will be happening in Fort Worth. Prior to the meeting we will email a link to all the districts to download or print (which ever you prefer) all the Association materials for the meeting. This will include the resolutions, business session materials and much more.

Monday evening please join us for our Texas Tailgate. Once again, we will have our gun raffle as well as the Draw Down game and some fun auction items. If you would like to donate an item for the auction it would be greatly appreciated. The “Best Dressed” contest will be back but we will be selecting the “Biggest Fan” so pack your face paint and foam fingers and support your favorite team. Please feel free to decorate your table as well.

On Tuesday at lunch, we have the honor of recognizing all our Conservation Award winners. I always look forward to recognizing these great stewards of the land. This is one of the best ways we have to tell our conservation story.

On Tuesday afternoon we will have our business session where we will consider resolutions. We are looking forward to your input and participation in the business session.

These are just a few of the key points for the meeting. I hope that you will join me in Fort Worth in making this the best State Meeting possible.

Sincerely,

Kent Batman, President
